Face Annotation Weakly Labelled Images using Nearest Neighbour Calculation | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 3, ISS 1

Face Annotation Weakly Labelled Images using Nearest Neighbor Calculation

Social networks such as face book, twitter etc. are widely used in our day to day life. Face image retrieval using content based method is an emerging technology in many real world applications for automatic face annotation. Our main goal is to retrieve the similar images from large scale database using content based. One challenging problem for search-based face annotation scheme is how to effectively perform annotation by exploiting the list of most similar facial images and their weak labels that are often noisy and incomplete. To tackle this problem, we propose an effective label refinement approach based on the semantic closeness of the image with name-list with which we had crawled the web search engines. Locality-Sensitive Hashing (LSH) to index the facial features in our solution and a Clustering of images on name-level is proposed to improve the efficiency of the annotation. We conduct extensive empirical studies on several web facial image databases to evaluate the proposed classification algorithm from different aspects.

Review - Performance and Emission Characteristics of 4-Stroke 4-Cylinder Compression Ignition Engine Diesel Fuel Blended With Coconut Oil

Coconut Oil-diesel is widely accepted as comparable fuel to diesel in compression ignition engines. It offers many advantages including; higher cetane number, reduced emissions of particulates, CO, NOX, and hydrocarbons, reduced toxicity, improved safety and lower lifecycle CO2 emissions. The objective of the present study is to reveal the effects of pure diesel fuel and coconut oil diesel fuel blends with indirectly heating of coconut-oil at 60°C before blending with diesel on the performance and emissions of a direct injection diesel engine. Operation of the test engine with pure diesel fuel and coconut oil-diesel fuel blends for a wide range of engine speed such as 800,1000,1200,1400 And 1500 Rpm and Full load (18 Kg) conditions will be shown to be successful even without engine modifications.

Analytical Study on the Behaviour of a Multi-Storeyed Structure under the Failure of One Pile Considering Soil Structure Interaction | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 5

Analytical Study on the Behaviour of a Multi-Storeyed Structure under the Failure of One Pile Considering Soil Structure Interaction

Foundation failure - though rare - has occurred in many a construction project. Such a failure is more probable for a pile foundation than any other type of foundation. The study here is an investigation of an anticipated pile failure and the behaviour of the super structure supported on the pile as a soil-structure interaction problem. The study closely follows the post failure pattern of the displacements, forces and moments of the superstructure. The load transfer and redistribution to the adjacent columns and the surrounding soil is also investigated.

Over Current Protection for High Voltage Gain DC-DC Converter | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 1

Over Current Protection for High Voltage Gain DC-DC Converter

This paper introduces a single-switch high voltage gain non isolated dc–dc converter containing coupled inductor and diode–capacitor techniques. The proposed converter produces extremely large voltage conversion ratio. The energy stored in leakage inductance of coupled inductor is efficiently recycled to the output. The voltage stress on the power devices is reduced. The high-pulsed input current in the converter is decreased. This paper proposes an overcurrent protection for high voltage gain dc-dc converter with coupled inductor.

A Design of Thermoelectric Cooler and Optimization | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 6

A Design of Thermoelectric Cooler and Optimization

Design, analysis and optimization of a thermoelectric refrigerator was carried out in this work the systems use thermoelectric "peltier" refrigerators (thermoelectric modules) to produce cooling or heating. The design calculation are find the performance curve of the thermoelectric module with the purpose of is find by simulation. Simulation results were compared with the practical data. The system simulation shows that exist a cheapest heat sink used for the thermoelectric refrigerator. the thermoelectric refrigerator with an air-cooled heat sink with thermal resistance 0.2515°C/W. Comparison was done between Bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3) and Antimony telluride(Sb2Te3) for the thermoelectric module. It was found that the bismuth telluride (Bi2Te3) due to its low thermal conductivity and high See back coefficient at room temperature has higher figure of merit (Z) and thus performed better as compared to Antimony telluride. The design be capable of be ready either on basis of the highest value of the cooling capacity, or on the basis of the most excellent heat sink technology existing.

Experimental Investigation Work of Diesel Engine by Developing Combustion Chamber Geometry | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 1, ISS 12

Experimental Investigation Work of Diesel Engine by Developing Combustion Chamber Geometry

Morden internal combustion engines must meet high emission standard including better performance and fuel economy. An increased diesel engine population has created pressures on controlling diesel PM and NOx emissions. EGR to control NOx emissions by reticulating exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber to be burned a second time, thereby reducing emissions associated with health risks and also change in combustion chamber geometry to reduce exhaust emission. Major emissions from a diesel engine are NOx, SOx, CO and particulate matter (PM).amongst these pollutants CO and Sox and some quantity of particulate matters are reduced by some after treatment methods, improve combustion chamber geometry etc.

Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete Beam with Cement Replaced By GGBFS and Fine Aggregate Replaced By GBFS | IJSTE JOURNAL VOL 2, ISS 4

Behaviour of Reinforced Concrete Beam with Cement Replaced By GGBFS and Fine Aggregate Replaced By GBFS

The present study focuses on the structural behaviour of reinforced concrete beams with Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GGBFS) and Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (GBFS). Ordinary Portland Cement was replaced with GGBFS and fine aggregate is replaced with GBFS in M40 grade concrete of water cement ratio 0.4. Cement was replaced with GGBFS for various percentages such as 0%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, and 55%. The optimum cement replacement was obtained at 45%. Replacements for fine aggregates are 0%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%. The optimum for fine aggregate replacement was found to be 45%. In the next stage a combination replacement was carried out i.e. cement replacement is fixed at 45% and fine aggregate replacements were done for various percentages (0%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%, 55%). In this combination replacement the optimum was obtained at 30% fine aggregate replacements. These optimum replacements for cement and fine aggregates were used to cast beam specimens. These beams were tested under two-point loading to study the flexural behaviour. After conducting flexural strength test the parameters such as first crack load, yield load, displacement ductility index and curvature ductility index were studied and compared with control beams. The results were found to be comparable with control specimens.
